Areas
Where I take you
Two wilderness areas in Finnish Lapland: the Käsivarsi wilderness around Kilpisjärvi and Halti, Finland's highest point, and Sevettijärvi–Näätämö in northern Inari, by the Norwegian border.
Käsivarsi – the "Arm of Finland" – is the far northwestern corner of Finland in Enontekiö. Treeless fell country stretches to the Norwegian and Swedish borders, and Finland's highest fells rise here. Only approved partner companies may take you to Halti by snowmobile.
Sevettijärvi–Näätämö in northern Inari is a rugged wilderness of hills, boulder fields and clear lakes. The Vätsäri wilderness is vast and rarely visited. Trips to the fells of Utsjoki, Finland's northernmost municipality, are also possible.
In both areas I run snowmobile, ice fishing and northern lights tours, plus sled transport into the wilderness.
