Private ice fishing trips into the fells
A frozen fell lake, an ice hole and silence – a whole day just for you.
Day trip
A day in the peace of the wilderness
The morning starts with a snowmobile ride to a remote fell lake. The auger bites into the ice, crystal-clear water appears in the hole, and on the live camera you see the fish approach your jig. During the day a fire burns in a sled-mounted fire pit. On the fell lakes your catch may include Arctic char and grayling, and fresh fish is filleted right there on the ice. The destination is chosen by conditions: the Käsivarsi fell lakes near Kilpisjärvi or the Sevettijärvi–Näätämö wilderness in northern Inari.
When the camera shows a fish circling your jig, you forget the cold in an instant.

Good to know
Do I need a fishing licence?
Ice fishing with a rod and jig is part of Finland's general fishing rights, so no fishing management fee or separate licence is needed. The trips operate under a fishing tourism permit from the ELY Centre, and the rapids and flowing waters of migratory fish rivers are not part of our destinations.
Your own or a rented snowmobile
You can join the trip on your own snowmobile. If you don't have one, I help you rent – the rental cost is added to the price.
