Instead of carrying a backpack and pulling a pulk for dozens of kilometres, you go straight to where the real adventure begins.
You sit in the sled with your gear as the fells open up around you, kilometre by kilometre. In Käsivarsi, the ride goes to the Halti hut at the foot of Finland's highest fell – and, if you like, all the way to the summit of Halti.
The wilderness begins where the road ends. My job is to take you there.

Snowmobiling in the Käsivarsi and Vätsäri wilderness
Snowmobiling in the Käsivarsi and Vätsäri wilderness areas is not an everyman's right – it requires permits and is governed by strict rules. In Käsivarsi, independent riders have a separate paid permit route, which does not lead to Halti fell.
The route to Halti is reserved for authorities, maintenance and guided tours by companies approved by Metsähallitus, the Finnish state agency that manages the wilderness areas. The Halti hut can therefore only be reached by snowmobile with an approved partner company.
Arctic Aurora Productions is an approved Metsähallitus partner company. I only use the designated company routes, follow the permit conditions and respect reindeer herding.
