1. Service and booking terms

The prices and content of the services offered by Arctic Aurora Productions are defined in the product-specific descriptions. All prices include the applicable VAT. Arctic Aurora Productions reserves the right to change prices and terms before a booking is confirmed.

Tours have a maximum number of participants. Arctic Aurora Productions reserves the right to adjust billing if the number of participants differs from what was agreed.

1.1 Booking

A booking is binding regardless of whether it is made verbally or in writing (e.g. WhatsApp, email, Instagram). A booking is considered confirmed once the customer has received a confirmation from Arctic Aurora Productions.

Arctic Aurora Productions reserves the right to decline a booking without giving a separate reason.

1.2 Payment terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the booking must be paid in full before the activity begins. Arctic Aurora Productions reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund if payment has not been made by the due date.

1.3 Cancellation

Cancellations must be made in writing to info@arcticaurora.fi or by another electronic means (e.g. WhatsApp, Instagram). A cancellation is considered received only once Arctic Aurora Productions has confirmed it in writing.

1.4 Cancellation terms

100% refund if the cancellation is made more than 7 days before the start of the booking.

No refund if the cancellation is made less than 7 days before the start of the booking.

Arctic Aurora Productions reserves the right to charge the full cost of the booking in the event of a no-show.

100% refund if Arctic Aurora Productions cancels the activity due to bad weather or another compelling reason.

1.5 Changes to a booking

The customer must report any changes in writing without delay. Arctic Aurora Productions does not guarantee that changes can be accommodated and reserves the right to charge for any resulting costs.

1.6 Service language

Activities are guided in English and/or Finnish, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1.7 Consumer's right of withdrawal in distance selling

The 14-day right of withdrawal under Finnish consumer protection law does not apply to a leisure service performed on a specific date, such as a guided tour. The cancellation terms in section 1.4 therefore apply to this booking instead of a 14-day right of withdrawal.

2. Customer's responsibility

The customer agrees to follow the instructions and safety regulations given. The customer is responsible for arriving at the agreed time. Lateness may be treated as a cancellation without refund.

Arctic Aurora Productions is not liable for damage or accidents resulting from the customer's negligence, failure to follow instructions, or physical unsuitability for the activity.

The customer takes part in activities at their own risk. The customer is responsible for ensuring that their state of health allows them to take part.

The customer is fully liable for any damage they cause to Arctic Aurora Productions' equipment or property.

3. Arctic Aurora Productions' liability

Arctic Aurora Productions complies with Finnish law and applicable safety regulations in its operations.

Arctic Aurora Productions is liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Liability is limited to the price paid for the service by the customer. This limitation does not apply to damage for which liability cannot be limited under mandatory law.

Arctic Aurora Productions is not liable for indirect damage, such as lost travel costs, accommodation, or other consequential costs.

Arctic Aurora Productions reserves the right to stop or cancel an activity for safety reasons without liability for compensation if the customer causes a dangerous situation.

4. Insurance

The customer is responsible for arranging adequate insurance cover of their own, including accident and travel insurance.

5. Force majeure

Arctic Aurora Productions is not liable for force majeure events, such as weather conditions, natural phenomena, government orders, strikes, or other similar events.

In such situations, Arctic Aurora Productions reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the activity without liability for compensation.

6. Governing law and disputes

Finnish law applies to this agreement. Any disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation.

If a matter is brought before a court, it will be filed in the district court of Arctic Aurora Productions' home municipality. This does not limit a consumer customer's right, under mandatory law, to also bring the matter before the competent court of their own place of residence.
